Our LASIK Denver eye care center is located in the heart of Denver Colorado. The procedure is becoming so popular that doctors are specializing in the different types of laser treatments and technology available today.

The majority of our patients are treatable with sophisticated and advanced refractive eye surgery technology. We always have large groups of people who visit our main LASIK office in Denver on a regular basis. We are always pleased to see our patients.

LASIK can be used to treat many different refractive and other vision problems with ease and high success rates.  Our Denver LASIK office is usually over-staffed as we are a patient centered environment.

Our LASIK Denver Surgeons Consult with Patients Every Day

LASIK surgery is a relatively common and safe procedure with minimal risks, but there are side effects that can take up to six months to completely heal.

A few of the side effects of LASIK Denver surgery are listed below.  Please keep in mind that this not the entire list but only the most reported issues that occur after surgery.

  • Discomfort that lasts up to 48 hours after LASIK surgery
  • Dry eyes
  • Night glare
  • Seeing halos around images while driving at night
  • Fluctuating vision
  • Mild Discomfort after surgery

Most Denver LASIK Patients Experience No Long-term Side Effects

There are generally no long-term side effects with LASIK eye surgery but there are some disadvantages.  A couple of these disadvantages consist of:

  • Corrections to further improve vision can only be made by additional LASIK surgeries
  • LASIK is technically complex

Denver surgeons always are sure to review both the risks and benefits of the surgery in the initial consultation with the patient and inform the patient that if problems do occur that they have the potential to adversely and permanently affect the patient’s vision.

Another problem than can occur is that a patient may still need to wear eye glasses for night driving after the surgery.  This can be ordered by the LASIK doctor so that the patient can achieve the best corrected visual acuity for driving in adverse conditions.

Patients who’ve had refractive surgery may also need reading glasses in order to increase the sharpness of the vision.  The Denver LASIK surgeon may recommend the reading glasses for a few months after the surgery and gauge the progress of the healing process over time.

"I've been wearing contacts for 15 years and glasses for 18. The Lasik procedure itself was easy and I'd even say fascinating. I can't believe I have 20/20 vision after 20 years!"

"It has been three weeks since the LASIK surgery that has changed my life and I wanted to tell you that I could not be happier with the results of the procedure. I had severe nearsightedness with astigmatism. Looking back upon the entire experience from the initial screening to the recovery and follow-up, my only regret is that I did not do it all a lot sooner."
